4K TV Live IPTV on a Samsung or LG 4K TV

A Samsung or LG from the last several years plays 4K IPTV on its own. The player comes from the TV's store, so there is no stick to buy and no HDMI port to fill.

Setup is free. Message us and we go through these steps together.

Open the TV's store

  1. 1.Samsung: press Home, go to Apps, and tap the magnifying glass.
  2. 2.LG: press Home, open the LG Content Store, and search.

Install a player

  • IBO Player Pro

    Paid

Free for a week, then a one-time payment. A year comes with the 12-month plan.

  • IPTV Smarters

    Free

    Free, and in both stores.

Note. Only a couple of IPTV players make it into the Samsung and LG stores. The TV maker sets that limit, and it is the one drawback of skipping a stick.

Sign in and check the resolution

Open the player, pick the Xtream Codes option and type in the username, password and server address. Take your time with the remote. Then open a 4K channel: the TV's info button should show 2160p.

The short app list is the trade-off. Roku has the same limit, while a Firestick 4K in the HDMI port opens up every player, TiviMate included. Look at the channel list before you decide.
