4K TV Live IPTV on a Firestick 4K

A Fire TV Stick 4K or 4K Max is the cheapest way to get a real 4K stream onto any TV with an HDMI port. It asks for one thing first: permission to install an app from outside Amazon's store.

Get Downloader from the store

  1. 1.On the Fire TV home screen, choose Find, then Search.
  2. 2.Type Downloader and pick it from the results.
  3. 3.Select the orange Downloader icon and press Get.

Allow installs from unknown apps

The switch sits in one of two places, depending on how old the stick is.

  1. 1.Recent sticks: Settings, then My Fire TV, then About. Highlight the Fire TV Stick line and press the centre of the ring seven times. Go back one screen, open Developer Options and turn on Install unknown apps for Downloader.
  2. 2.Older sticks: Settings, then My Fire TV, then Developer Options, and switch on Apps from Unknown Sources.
Note. If Developer Options is missing, the seven presses on the About screen are what make it appear. Amazon hid it in a software update.

Install a player and pick the 4K stream

Open Downloader, type the app address from your WhatsApp message and install it. All three below play 4K:

Sign in with the Xtream Codes option using the username, password and server address from your message. Channels that broadcast in 4K play in 4K on a 4K TV; if a stream looks soft, make sure the stick's display setting is on 2160p.

Rather not sideload? Android boxes and Chromecast install the same players from the Play Store, and a Roku or a Samsung or LG 4K TV needs no stick at all. Either way, check the channel list before you start.
