4K TV Live IPTV on a MAG box

A MAG box is tied to its own MAC address instead of a username and password. We register the MAC first, and only then does the portal fill with channels. A 4K-capable MAG plays the 4K channels at full resolution.

Send us the MAC address

It is on the sticker under the box and in System Settings, and it looks like 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX. Nothing loads until it is registered, so this comes first.

Find the portal settings

  1. 1.After the box boots, open Settings, or press SETUP or SET on the remote.
  2. 2.Go to System Settings, then Servers, then Portals.

Enter the portal

  1. 1.Type any name into Portal 1 Name.
  2. 2.Put the portal address from your WhatsApp message into Portal 1 URL.
  3. 3.Press OK to save.

Set the clock and restart

  1. 1.Still in System Settings, open the time or NTP section.
  2. 2.Type us.pool.ntp.org, or pool.ntp.org if the box is outside North America.
  3. 3.Back out twice and choose Restart Portal.
Note. A wrong time server is the usual reason a MAG shows an empty guide. The box needs the right time to match programs to channels.

MAG boxes activate by MAC, which is why that address matters so much. Formuler boxes do the same through MYTV Online, and BuzzTV boxes use a near-identical portal setup. Check the channel list before buying hardware.
